grid_array is a generative art installation and an audio/video performance, that features a dynamic and ever-changing grid of patterns. The installation employs noise-derived functions to create randomized and intricate designs that are displayed on a large screen. The use of these functions ensures that each pattern is unique.
The installation generates these patterns with an algorithm which applies a set of rules pixel by pixel, allowing for an incredible variety and evolution of designs that adjust in real-time, creating a dynamic and ever-changing display.
During live settings some parameters can be adjusted manually and/or synchronized with the audio, giving the artist a level of control over the final output.
